There's something magical about a vacation where everyone is happy. The kids are racing down waterslides, grandparents are relaxing by the pool with a good book, parents aren't worrying about where to eat next, and everyone gathers at sunset to share stories from the day. Finding a destination that keeps every generation happy isn't always easy, but that's exactly what we found at Princess Grand Jamaica, an all-inclusive resort on Jamaica's beautiful northwestern coast that makes family travel feel wonderfully effortless. Located in Green Island, about an hour from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Princess Grand Jamaica sits on a peaceful stretch of Caribbean shoreline framed by turquoise water and lush mountain views. With 590 spacious suites, nine restaurants, multiple pools, a water park, a Kids Club, nightly entertainment, and a luxurious spa, the resort offers everything families need without ever leaving the property. For those who want to explore beyond the resort, there are several memorable excursions just a short drive away.
Designed with Families in Mind
One of the biggest advantages of an all-inclusive vacation is its simplicity. Meals, snacks, activities, entertainment, and accommodations are all included, allowing families to spend less time planning and more time enjoying one another. Princess Grand Jamaica is especially well suited for multigenerational travel. While younger children splash through the water park or participate in supervised activities, grandparents can enjoy a leisurely breakfast, relax under a beachfront cabana, or indulge in a spa treatment. Teens have plenty of independence with water sports, sports courts, and gaming areas before everyone reunites for dinner each evening.
Fun for Every Generation
Families with younger children will quickly discover the colorful on-site water park, complete with waterslides, splash zones, swimming pools, and shaded seating nearby. The expansive Kids Club (ages 3–12) offers arts and crafts, games, dancing, and treasure hunts throughout the day, giving little ones a chance to play while parents enjoy some well-earned downtime. Older children, teens, and adults will also find plenty to keep them active, including pickleball, kayaking, snorkeling, paddleboarding, tennis, basketball, soccer, beach volleyball, and a VR gaming lounge.Whether your family prefers adventure or relaxation, everyone can enjoy the vacation at their own pace.
A Taste of Jamaica
One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the resort's outstanding dining options. Jamrock Restaurant serves authentic Jamaican specialties, offering a delicious introduction to the island's bold flavors and rich culinary traditions. The Blue Mountain Coffee Shop is the perfect place to fuel up with a strong cup of freshly brewed Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, specialty espresso drinks, flaky pastries, and sweet treats before heading out for another day of island adventures. For a fun family night, KA Teppanyaki Restaurant combines delicious food with lively entertainment. The chefs' tableside cooking, impressive knife skills, fiery tricks, and engaging personalities kept everyone smiling from start to finish. Dinner reservations are recommended for the specialty restaurants and are easy to arrange before your visit.
Comforts & Special Touches
Accommodations are designed with families in mind. Families traveling with younger children may want to consider the Family Club Junior Suites, complete with king beds and built-in bunk beds, while our swim-out suite offered a peaceful retreat between adventures. For an extra-special experience, reserve one of the resort's poolside or beachfront cabanas, where personalized service and comfortable shaded seating make for an incredibly relaxing day by the water. Our suite also included butler service, available through WhatsApp, making dinner reservations, arranging activities, and answering questions throughout our stay.
Venture Beyond the Resort
Although you could easily spend your entire vacation on property, families looking for an unforgettable adventure should plan a visit to Dolphin Cove Montego Bay. Swimming with dolphins is one of those bucket-list experiences children remember for years. Guests can also learn about Jamaica's fascinating marine life, making it an easy half-day excursion from the resort.
Relax and Recharge
Parents and grandparents deserve vacation time, too. Spa Princess offers massages, facials, and wellness treatments, while guests also have access to the neighboring Princess Senses The Mangrove spa, complete with a sauna and cold plunge pool.
Bring the Flavors of Jamaica Home
One of the best souvenirs isn't something you pack it's the flavors you discover along the way. After returning home, recreate one of Jamaica's signature comfort foods with a traditional Brown Stew ("Brownin'") Chicken recipe. It's a delicious way to relive your Caribbean vacation long after you've unpacked.
